winery of the month | de lancellotti family vineyards

wine:

2021 LA SORELLA CHARDONNAY

Sourced from a range of sites throughout the Willamette Valley, the 2021 ‘La Sorella’ opens with Bartlett pear and star jasmine aromas as well as hay and shades of honeydew melon. The palate is very smooth and opulent with a silky texture. Showing great weight and underlying verve, this beautiful wine is best enjoyed now and over the next eight years. Drink 2022-2030

2022 la sorella PINOT NOIR

The 2022 ‘La Sorella’ Pinot Noir is an outstanding bottling that comes mainly from the de Lancellotti Estate Vineyard (40%) with the remainder sourced from the Arlyn Vineyard. Aged in only 20% new French oak, this is texturally very grati- fying, this offers bright Bing cherry and red raspberry flavors with shades of lavender, blood orange zest and salty undercurrents. Everything is neatly in harmony here, as this already nicely evolved Pinot Noir offers some serious value for under 40 bucks. Drink 2023-2031

2021 ONELIA PINOT NOIR

The outstanding 2021 ‘Onelia’ is mostly coming from their Estate upper block of their estate vineyard, utilizing Dijon Clonal selection 114 Pinot Noir. Stored in only 20% new French oak, this delivers an insanely good bouquet of potpourri with white pepper, black truffle and cinnamon stick notes. The palate is very soft and seamless, as this effortlessly glides through the drinking experience. The ‘Onelia’ is quite simply a glorious wine to consume now at only one year of age, as this beauty will surely live on for decades to come. Give this several hours of air if enjoying now. Drink 2022-2038

Local’s Night Tasting Event

MONDAY, OCTOBER 2

Join us for a special tasting of de Lancellotti wines and our Local’s Night Special.

ABOUT de lancellotti:

We are not from a winemaking family, but “mornings turned into evenings” type days out in the vineyards, season through season, has led us to become one. We are rooted in building from the ground up first the planting of the deLancellotti vineyard in 2001. The experience gained in these early years led us to the creation of our brand de Lancellotti Family Vineyards in 2005 .

My wife Kendall Bergstrom and our kids invite you come and taste with us and share our wines with friends and family .

The beginning years opened our eyes to biodynamic farming- a holistic practice of farming used for generations in the premiere vineyards around the world, but one that is largely misunderstood until you have spent a lifetime in vineyards.

Today, de Lancellotti wines are a result of wines grown from our Estate Vineyard and fruit sourced from some of the finest growers who intentionally farm and share our passion for holistic intensive farming practices.

Our wines are produced in a shared winemaking facility, with great friends and peers, located in McMinnville, Oregon under the leadership of Robert Brittan.

Simply put, farming great vineyards and sourcing the finest pinot noir and chardonnay is our passion.
